The Style Report premiere
At the Fire and Ice (extreme) Hotel
Having a girlfriend that works at E-tv has its benefits like news 8 seconds before it airs, partying with all the schlebs (which usually makes their day by being in the presence of Kev) and ofcourse cool functions, like this one...
Last night was the premiere of Nicky Greenwall's new show "The Style Report" which is on channel 403 on DSTV on a Thursday night at 9pm. The premiere was held at The Fire and Ice hotel also known as the "extreme" hotel for all its wacky decor and themes like 6 toilets with all different themes and lifts which feels like you in the cable car or underwater shark diving. We were greeted with champagne on arrival and a warm welcome by Nicky Greenwall (Showbiz fame), I always consider a massive kiss and a quick grope as a warm welcome...Nicky's nice, she can stay.
The Style Report is quite an all round show to do with style (ofcourse), the fashion in South Africa and other great lifestyle reviews. It is still very much in it's beginning stages and should be a complete South African household brand like The Showbiz Report within a year or so. The two hosts are Lutho Somdyala (very cool and down to earth) and Lauren van wyk (tall and model like)...keep an eye out for these two, they going to be quite famous soon. The show's production manager Tinet Crous kept us company right to the end of the night, throwing us free champagne and giving us behind the scene scoops, her and her boyfriend Marco were really cool. (another two in the awesome kev society) Oh and a chronicles of kev character Lady A.D.D was truly in her element last night as well taking us on a tour of the WHOLE hotel and getting very strange looks from all the porters
Here are a few pics from the night:
"Colin Moss's poor boy hat was blocking the make of the T.V"
Kev (stylish), Nicky Greenwall and Lady A.D.D
The smoking room which is called the "coughin room" decor...coffins!
The roof of the "coughin room"
Lutho Somdyala (host of The Style report) and Kev...being awesome
The cable car themed lift
The Stage Fright toilet
The Long Drop toilet
Awesome...
