Welcome to South Africa, where we are the only country in the World who has to have a licence to watch tv. We pay over R250 a year for a licence and you can't buy a tv without one. The money from
our licences go to the SABC who splurge on 13th,14th and 15th cheques come the end of the year. Their top management all drive fancy cars and own prime property. For those of you that know, the
three SABC channels is the biggest pile of shit under the sun and I feel the only reason why we have to pay for a licence is to help out with their poor advertising budget. Who wants to advertise
on a channel that has complete rubbish on day and night?...not me. I don't even watch SABC, I stick to DSTV so why do I have to pay for a TV licence?, they can block SABC at my house, I really
don't give a shit. All the decent sport, shows and smut is on DSTV and I am 100% happy with that.
Back to my point, the SABC has just announced that they are dropping their R500m budget on local productions. That is a shit load of money and local productions are up in arms as they know only the
SABC will buy their crap. Now because of mismanagement within the company it is going to cost the jobs of loads of South African actors, directors and producers. What the hell is the SABC going to
do to fill in those spots on tv?, if they are cutting the budget by R500m that means they won't be able to afford anything "decent" to slot into the place of where for instance Generations
is/was. I thought I would let you know that Generations is the most watched South African produced tv show at the moment...crazy hey? Now imagine replacing that with old re runs of some
crap the SABC has lying around...noone will watch SABC again and ETV will start getting all the attention. All ETV needs to do is cut out some of the wrestling (which is their most watched show)
and buy some SABC shows, place it on their channel and VIOLA! they will coin it. Shit, I should sell that idea to them...it has now been patented by me.
So good luck SABC, your channels are now completely fucked! Now make us stop paying for TV licences and sort your shit out properly.
Pretty interesting hey, this video is causing a huge stir in the entertainment world as it shows "Michael Jackson" jumping out of the coroner's van, apparently the same one that picked up his dead
